insightful things to remember for always

today:
Deer Tick rocked my world.
The Felice Brothers were really good also.
and tomorrow:
I will feast on cider and doughnuts.

but today:
I love Deer Tick.

Summer seems to be coming to a close. I can't say I'm happy about it, but I can't avoid it either. Poor me.

Today was nice though.
Brandon and Mike'O and I all ventured into the woods and along the creek. It was romantic and filled my spirit with love.
And yesterday Brandon and I drove up to Ithaca and walked around/looked at things/ate some good food. We missed the farmers market by some minutes, which kind of stunk, but we'll make it back up before it's over. I long to ingest more Cambodian food, and I need some good produce to make into a good soup.
Ithaca has been a summer staple for the year. Nothin' wrong with that.

There's no knowing what this next year will hold,
but I'll be keeping myself pretty busy this semester, taking eighteen credits and a couple of tough classes. I'll attempt working a bit as well, but it's all good, considering how I laugh in the face of danger.

I'm going to miss all of the warm adventures that took place this summer. But new challenges await. And I'll be ready.

Dear God,

Today I am thankful for:
-the (much needed) warm sunshine
-a slight breeze (which sounds rather Ocean-like in the trees)
-sweet summery-plant scents
-cold soup
-quiet time to myself
-getting out of work early, allowing me to enjoy these bitty pleasures.

sinners&saints

Sure, God loves you, but he loves everybody else too.  That includes rapists, Muslims, and yes...

even gay people.

Jot It Down

Everybody should be entitled to their own beliefs (aside from anything regarding violent behavior).  If everybody were capable of respectfully accepting that other people disagree with them, while still believing whatever it is they believe in, there would probably be a lot less violence/war/hate.
Ironically, in order for this to be so, everybody would have to agree with me.

It Starts

Today when I punched in my settings for a run on the treadmill, it was time to change the age from a 21 to a 22. It's a rather silly way to acknowledge my birthday, but it's an event I've been anticipating for quite some time now. I'm sure I'm not the only one who notices the change, especially with all the people running on treadmills these days.

And could today have BEEN any more beautiful? 80 degree weather in April? Normal? I think not.

Needless to say, I have a sunburn from enjoying all of the beauty. Eh, I don't regret it.
